The Problem

Architects and designers struggle to quickly visualize their sketches and concepts. Traditional rendering methods are time-consuming, expensive, and require specialized software. This creates a barrier between initial design concepts and client presentations, leading to slower design iterations and reduced client engagement.

The Solution

Arqihive revolutionizes architectural visualization by using AI to transform simple sketches into photorealistic renders and videos in minutes. Built with modern web technologies and the Nano Banana SDK, it provides fast, accessible, and high-quality visualization tools that democratize architectural rendering for professionals and students alike.

My Role & Contributions

As the sole developer, I architected and built the entire platform from scratch. I developed the frontend with Next.js 15 and React 19, implemented the backend with Next.js API routes and server actions, designed the database schema with PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM, integrated Supabase for authentication and storage, and built the AI rendering pipeline using the Nano Banana SDK.

Technical Challenges & Learnings

The primary challenge was integrating the Nano Banana SDK effectively while maintaining fast response times and handling the asynchronous nature of AI rendering. Additionally, building a robust file upload system with proper validation, implementing real-time status updates for long-running render jobs, and creating an intuitive user interface that works well on both desktop and mobile devices required careful architecture decisions.

Launched with 2,000+ active users generating over 10,000 renders. The platform has reduced architectural visualization time from hours to minutes, with 95% user satisfaction.
